RemoteLock Now Supports Mobile Credentials

RemoteLock, the access control software leader that provides remote distribution, control, and management of smart lock credentials for many industries, is excited to announce support for the use of mobile credentials on their platform through an integration with Schlage Control® offline locks

A Streamlined Solution for Multifamily Properties

The technology behind mobile credentials assigns digital identities to residents, which are then linked to physical access privileges. Through Bluetooth technology, smartphones communicate with access control devices across the property, granting seamless entry. This system eliminates the need for keys, cards, PIN codes, or fobs, enhancing security and convenience for both property managers and residents.

The key benefits of mobile credentials include:

  1. Enhanced Resident Experience: Residents can easily access their units and common areas using their smartphones, reducing the need to carry physical keys or fobs.
  2. Increased Security: Digital credentials are more secure than traditional methods. There are no keys to copy, and mobile credentials can be quickly revoked if necessary.
  3. Cost Savings: By eliminating the need for physical credentials, properties can save on the costs of replacements and reduce the inconvenience of managing lost or stolen keys.

RemoteLock and Schlage Control®: A Cost-Effective Upgrade

RemoteLock’s integration with the leading offline digital lock, Schlage Control, allows property owners and managers to easily offer mobile credentials to their residents and quickly increase operational efficiency. As an offline lock, Schlage Control allows buildings to implement digital locks without needing managed Wi-Fi throughout the property. This makes it an ideal solution for properties interested in upgrading their security without the significant expense of installing comprehensive network infrastructure.

With RemoteLock’s software, property managers can view and manage these devices and issue or revoke the mobile credentials. While the locks themselves are not connected to the internet, property managers can change settings or review access activity within a few feet of the device, offering a blend of modern security with practical management capabilities.

In addition to integrating with Schlage Control locks for unit doors, RemoteLock also supports the management of wired doors, like many common doors, using the Schlage RC Reader device or CTE device, ensuring comprehensive access control across multifamily properties.
